There was no doubt that Christopher Bailey would steal the show at London Fashion Week. His Burberry label was the first to stream live and 3D around the world. As creative director of Burberry, Bailey not only swept away his audience this week on the runway, he won International Designer of the Year Award at the Elle Style Awards. Bailey is responsible for Burberry's entire vision, advertisements, and art design and product line. His collection this year was a hot topic as he featured Sheepskin aviator jackets, military pea coats with zipped detailing and multi-strapped knee-high boots.
Other winners at the awards were:
TV Star of the Year - Danni Minogue
Model Of The Year - Claudia Schiffer
Musician Of The Year - Florence And The Machine
Actress Of The Year - Carey Mulligan
Actor Of The Year - Colin Firth
Breakthrough Talent - Nicholas Hoult
Style Icons of 2010 - Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen

Alexander McQueen's sudden death shocks the fashion world

Alexander McQueen & Kate Moss
“British fashion is self confident and fearless. It refuses to bow to commerce, thus generating a constant flow of new ideas whilst drawing in British heritage.” - Alexander McQueen

The fashion world went silent on February 11th when iconic fashion designer Alexander McQueen took his own life. Previous events in his life are said to be a big part of this tragic news. McQueen was devestated when his adored mother died nine days before his death, and when his partner, whos name he has tattooed on his arm, broke-up with him. Before his death he left remarks on his twitter page to describe his grief.
"I'm letting my followers know my mother passed away yesterday if it she had not me nor would you RIP mumxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx..."
"Been a fucking awful week but my friends have been great but now i have to some how pull myself together and finish with the ..."

McQueen's 40 years of life have not gone unnoticed by anyone. Starting out as the head designer of Givenchy and landing his own line Alexander McQueen and McQ labels. McQueen won British Designer of the Year award four times, and his designes are seen on the red carpet at almost every award show. McQueen was named International Designer of the Year at the Council of Fashion Designer Awards and has boutiques all over the world including in London, Milan, Las Vegas, New York and Las Angeles. His death occurred just days before London Fashion Week, and weeks before he was to present his Gucci collection in Paris.
Please take a moment to watch this video dedicated to Alexander McQueen, his designs and his life.

The Digital Movement Hits Fashion Week

Did you get that front row ticket to fashion week, or did  you loose your ticket in mail? No worries. The digital phenomenon is hitting the catwalk this year. For the first time ever fashionistas will be able to watch live stream videos of the biggest designers new collections in London Fashion Week.
The British Fashion Council announced that a digital schedule will premier on the runway at London Fashion week on February 19th. Fashion fans across the globe will be able to watch London's biggest designers showcase their new lines collaborated with fashion films.

The bustle and crowd at fashion week make it hard for all attendies to enter the golden gates of every show. The live streamed shows will make it possible for everyone to view these beautiful new fashion lines.

Names like Hussein Chalayan and Boudicca will present iconic fashion films of the last decade through this digital realm. The films and shows will be streamed live online at the British Fashion Council website
Burberry's head designer Christopher Bailey has taken this new digital realm to the next level by offering a viewing of his show in 3D. Only VIP guests will be viewing his 3D show at designated locations around the world. Finally every fashion fanatic will have the chance to see the sparkles, hear the clicks of stilettos and witness one of fashion's biggest weeks of the year from their very own home.
